Cheese is everywhere
This is one of the spots that smells like heaven to a cheese lover and like cheese to anybody else. The very helpful staff is always eager to find the right one for you and in combination with a good baguette and the beautiful square outside where you can enjoy the life bustling around you in the heart of Brussels – i think this is a good place to rest your feet and let your mind wander.
The shop itself is tiny but packs a punch with 120 to 180 cheeses (which vary by season). They also offer delicious Croque Monsieur (melted cheese sandwich), cured meats, wine, a few beers and milk produced on a farm in Lier in refillable glass bottles (nostalgia overload).
So if you are looking for Brugse Blomme (soft), Oud Brugge (hard) or the award-winning Grevenbroecker made by Catharinadal in Limburg (blue cheese) you came to the right place and yes i am just being a know-it-all at this moment.
I leave you with a made up fact of the day:
It is estimated that a quarter of life’s pleasurable moments involve cheese in some capacity.
