Up above the city there is Le Sirenuse
I love Positano and the feeling of almost tumbling houses perched precariously on top of a mountain is still breathtaking each time. And in the middle of it with a grand view of the beach and city below is the beautifully designed hotel & restaurant Le Sirenuse. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to stay for a night at the hotel so I am strictly talking about the experience to enjoy life while slurping some delectable oysters, sipping on a cool perfectly mixed cocktail and getting pampered by the attentive service whilst losing yourself in the plush sofas.
I am not trying to tell you that you won’t get good oysters anywhere else in Positano but for me it is the combination of so many little things that makes my heart skip a beat when I think about coming back soon.
A place for laughter, romance, love, good food and good company – and if you ever come here you will know what I a mean.
John Steinbeck, once stated, “Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone“ and I can agree with him in every word.
So splurge a bit to experience this wonderful family run establishment with a new alfresco terrace Franco’s or the Michelin studded restaurant La Sponda or even stay for a night or two (I will for sure next time).
