Enchanted Villa on Kloof Street
Situated on Kloof Street one of Cape Towns “hang out” areas, this restaurant/bar is set in a beautiful Victorian house/Villa. It has a kind of jazzy vibe to it – if you catch my drift and if I am not totally mistaken – totally hip right now. From the colored wallpapers, the indirect warm orange lighting to the soft comfy leather sofas – nothing and everything is left to chance. The natural way of interior design. We dined by candle light, enjoyed a cocktail in the lush green garden and had fun with the crew at the oak-colored bar .
The menu has a tasteful mediterranean / oriental touch to it with a good variety of starters and main dishes. We enjoyed the Moroccan spiced lamb and the Osso bucco. Also the salted caramel cheesecake with popcorn sorbet is a delicious and extraordinary choice.
So if you are looking for a place to be with the hip crowd and get a delicious dinner out of it (doesn’t happen that often as you probably know) Kloof Street House will make you feel right at home.
