The 50s are around the corner at Teddy’s Bigger Burgers
This 1950’s-themed burger joint has surfboards lining the walls and colorful cliché illustrations of Hawaiian hula girls. The interior design is not how we’d interpret the ’50s. It looks more or less like a LSD-induced dream of the Beach Boys’ Kokomo. It has locations throughout Hawaii and celebrates the burger in a traditional way, but with an eye for quality ingredients. It has a simple menu of burgers, fries and shakes. They use 100% fresh ground chuck, hand pattied and charbroiled to order and you can taste the difference.
If you frequent burger joints in your hometown and are jonesing for a good one in Hawaii, you’ll be set here.
They prepare your food right after your order and it will take a bit longer than a McDonald’s, but if you took the time to find this article you won’t mind the wait.
Teddy’s has been serving customers since 1998 and started on Oahu so even though it’s now a chain, you can feel good about supporting the local burger dealer.
